Ewa Galusińska's musical monodrama
based on lyrics and songs by Katarzyna Nosowska
“Hiroshima Dances Again” is an intimate, moving performance inspired by the lyrics of Katarzyna Nosowska, who with extraordinary insight, uncompromising sincerity, but also with characteristic distance and perverse sense of humor describes emotions, loneliness, relationships and cracks in the modern world.
Ewa Galusińska confronts this matter personally — with feminine sensitivity, rebellion, fragility and strength pulsating in Nosowska's words. He enters them without distance and without decorativeness, treating them as a space of confrontation with his own experience, memory and the unspoken. At the same time, it leaves room for a subtle smile — the one that appears when we recognize in ourselves the absurdity of everyday dramas.
It is a theatrical dialogue pulsating to the rhythm of everyday paradoxes. There is room in it for tenderness and self-irony, for a moment of hesitation and for laughter that comes imperceptibly. Crude, true, sometimes perverse — he does not give ready-made answers, but leaves a mark.
