Ellen Saltø was particularly recognized for her ability to interrogate children and young girls in morality cases, where her male colleagues often fell short.
She played a key role in the cases of Dagmar Overby and the Damhus murder - and helped stop a serial offender at Amager Fælled. In 1952, she was honored with the Knight's Cross for her outstanding efforts.
It is the story of a pioneer who paved the way for women's equality in the police force at a time of great societal change, brutality and poverty.
