Carsten Norton narrates the story of Pusher Street. From the social experiment of the 1970s over the betrayal of the rockers in the 1980s to the organisation of criminal groups to the present day - when an era has ended and the illegal markets have found new platforms.
The lecture builds on years of research and work with the people who for decades populated, worked and operated in and around the street.
Carsten Norton is a writer and journalist specialising in Denmark's criminal underworld. He is additionally a host on TV 2's crime magazine “The Shadow Page”.
In 2025, he published the book “Pusher Street - a Tale”.
Praktiskhistorieklubben På Amager is jointly operated by Kvarterhuset, Islands Brygge Bibliotek and Sundby Library.
