Historical house tour

In this historic tour, Sophiensæle is viewed from the perspective of the building itself — the former craftsmen's club house — and presented in its changing uses and meanings: as an educational and training center for craftsmen, as a place of organization of parts of the workers' movement, as a scene of National Socialist forced labor, as workshops of the Maxim Gorky Theatre and finally as a venue for the independent performing arts since 1996 to the present day in Berlin-Mitte.
