Join us for this hands-on workshop to discover how we've engineered our way into space and build your own rocket!
Blast off on an exciting engineering adventure and discover how humans have made their way into space, from the first rocket launches to the Moon landings and new lunar exploration today.
Along the way we'll become engineers! Participants will build their own balloon rockets, work as a team to try rocket touch downs and design parachutes for a safe splash down landing back on Earth. Everyone will get the chance to explore and investigate the challenges of space travel and put problem-solving and collaboration skills to the test through hands-on activities and investigations.
For children who are in Years 1 or 2 this term. This typically corresponds to children aged around 5 - 7 years old. We reserve the right to refund or deny entry to those who are not in the correct year group.
Parents and carers are welcome to leave their child to take part in the workshop independently. However, we do ask that you remain in the building for the duration of the session.
Refunds can only be issued for tickets cancelled at least two weeks (14 calendar days) in advance of the event date. Please note that this supersedes our normal event terms and conditions. Please also note that Eventbrite adds a small booking fee to the amount paid for each ticket option.
