HORIZONTISTS: “New Zealand from the inside. In the world of Maori and Kiwi.”

As part of the new series of the Maritime Science Centre, we invite you to a meeting with Patrycja Wojkowska. In 2023, Patrycja Wojkowska went to New Zealand alone as part of the Work and Holiday program. She spent several months there living with a New Zealand family, traveling and getting to know the people of the country. During the meeting, he will talk about Maori culture, cultural differences and stereotypes. She will explain what pounamu is - an important stone for the Maori people, which she received during her journey. He will also talk about the tattoo made by Maoris and what it meant. Her story will include solitary expeditions, survival on the slopes of volcanoes and situations in which she had to cope alone far from home.
