Hot Spot

Hot Spot is a futuristic sci-fi thriller set in the near future, where the social order is set by conscious artificial intelligence. A private detective investigates a murder and comes across a group of rebels capable of undermining the power of the digital system. The deeper he delves into the matter, the more he becomes convinced that in a world governed by algorithms, nothing is what it seems.

The international cast of Hot Spot included Andrzej Konopka (LARP. Love, Trolls and Other Quests, Daughters of Dancing), Noomi Rapace (Girl with Tattoo, Prometheus) and Reika Kirishima (Drive My Car, Norwegian Wood).
Agnieszka Smoczyńska is one of the most original directors of contemporary European cinema — creator of the award-winning Daughters of Dancing, Fugi and The Silent Twins.

Hot Spot will be another result of the collaboration of her unbridled imagination with Robert Bolesta's unique talent for telling original stories. His scripts, such as The Last Family and Daughters of Dancing, are among the most expressive stories in the panorama of contemporary Polish cinema.
