Hot Spot

Agnieszka Smoczyńska returns to genre cinema with the energy and fantasy of the cult “Daughters of Dancing”! In the (not) distant future, ruled by artificial intelligence, a detective with many faces and at least an original style is commissioned to investigate a murder. However, this will only be the starting point for a series of strange events that will shake the new world order. The system is unstable. The temperature is rising. Will his sense of duty and service win over his wild, dormant nature...?

“Hot Spot” is a futuristic sci-fi thriller that melts the senses, mixes in the head and leaves no one indifferent. Embark on a journey to a place where the 80s mingle with a disturbing vision of the future and a pinch of technological magic, all with a grain of salt and typical of the director's conscious playfulness of kitsch, satire and reflection. Let the original, animal instinct guide you, and your head will open to the new!

“Hot Spot” is the second international film in the director's career. In the main role we will see Andrzej Konopka, who with distance and humor plays the character of a stylish detective in an identity crisis. He will be joined on screen by Noomi Rapace (“Girl with the Tattoo”, “Prometheus”) and Reika Kirishima (“Drive My Car”, “Norwegian Wood”).
