Hot Spot

In the near future, the world is ruled by an omnipresent artificial intelligence called the Head, which controls power, security, communication and entertainment. Every day, residents receive special jelly beans to maintain their connection to the system. Thanks to them, they can communicate telepathically and stay in constant sync with digital reality. Breaking the connection threatens death. Beyond the boundaries of this technological order, however, live the Neosoules — a community of refugees who reject dependence on the Head. When their leader Rana and her group arrive in the city in search of resources, a brutal ritual murder ensues. The investigation is entrusted to Detective Johnny.
