Huw Montague Rendall baritone ; Carrie-Ann Matheson piano

‘His debut solo recording justifies the buzz,’ declared the Guardian in its five-star review of Huw Montague Rendall’s 2024 album, Contemplation. The acclaimed British baritone, in high demand at the world’s leading opera houses and festivals, has constructed a fascinating combination of songs for his latest Wigmore Hall recital. His programme includes Three Love Songs, Jonathan Dove’s settings of profoundly moving lyrics written by Rendall’s father, the late tenor David Rendall, and the mini-dramas of Mahler’s four Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen.
