About the event

On October 9, 2026, the first Forum dedicated to psycho-oncology and palliative care will be held at the Polish Theatre in Szczecin. The event was under the honorary patronage of the Rector of PUM, Prof. Leszek Domański.

The forum will be a space to talk about conscious cancer prevention, experiences related to cancer disease, treatment, psychological support and palliative care.

The meeting aims to familiarize the topic of prevention and cancer disease through conversation, exchange of professional and life experiences and transfer of reliable knowledge based on scientific research. An important element of the Forum will be to hear the true stories of people who experience or have experienced cancer, and their loved ones.

Experienced specialists from Szczecin and other regions of Poland, patients and people who support their sick loved ones on a daily basis will speak. The combination of medical knowledge with personal experience is intended to create a space for an open conversation about the needs of those affected and the importance of comprehensive support at different stages of the disease. The program also provides time for questions from the room and statements of the participants, allowing the audience to actively participate in the discussion.

The cost of participation is PLN 90. Proceeds from the sale of tickets will be donated to the West Pomeranian Association of Psychooncology and Palliative Care and will support the activities carried out for the benefit of patients.
