Electro-pop duo Icona Pop releases new album and occupies Pumpehuset this fall

The Swedish duo consisting of Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo got their global breakthrough with the mega hit “I Love It” feat. Charli XCX — a song that has since achieved icon status and rounded up more than a billion streams on Spotify.

With their effortless fusion of electronic pop, dance and alternative club music, they have cemented their position as one of Scandinavia's strongest pop names with sold-out shows worldwide, major festival appearances and collaborations with artists such as Tove Lo, Galantis and Joel Corry.

For the two members and longtime friends, the project Icona Pop represents the ultimate freedom of self-expression. The worship of that freedom has been a powerful driving force in their musical development, and together they have created a universe where electronic music, punk attitude and pop music collide on the dance floor.

Icona Pop will release their third full-length album “Ritual” on 14 August and on Friday 13 November they can be experienced in Pumpehuset.
