II Review of Folk and Vocal Ensembles: “With a song on your lips”. Jubilee of the band “Golden ears”

15 years of “Golden ears” - music, tradition and meeting with folklore There are bands that just perform. There are also those that over the years become part of the local history, meet people, recall melodies, words and customs that are worth preserving. Such teams include “Golden Ears”, which this year celebrates its 15th anniversary.

On this occasion, on October 18 at 14:00 at the Kościańskie Cultural Center there will be a special meeting: the 15th anniversary of the “Golden Kłosy” Ensemble combined with the 2nd Review of Folklore and Vocal Ensembles “With a song on your lips”.

It will be an afternoon full of music, singing together and meeting bands that cherish tradition, but above all create it here and now - at concerts, reviews, festivals and local events.

15 years of playing and singing together The history of “Golden Klows” began in 2011. The band was founded by Elżbieta Kristein-Franek. The first rehearsals took place in a small parish hall in Bonikowo, later the band met at the local school.

Over the years, “Golden Ears” grew - not only musically, but also numerically. From the initial group, a team of 28 people was formed today. They are also accompanied by live music - the lineup includes three instrumentalists playing organ, saxophone and accordion.

“Golden ears” can be found during local festivals, village games and reviews of folklore ensembles. The band represents the Koscianska Land, is involved in the life of the local community and is happy to share their music also during meetings of a more special nature - among others in the Social Welfare Homes in Jarogniewice and Kościan, where they perform Christmas carols.

15 years of activity are hundreds of rehearsals, meetings, performances and, above all, people united by the song. It's also a beautiful example of how folklore doesn't have to be locked away in a museum showcase. It lives when someone sings it, passes it on and invites others to play together.
