At the end of the XXXII Sądecki Music Festival IUBILAEI CANTUS we invite you to a concert entitled Impressionism in Motion: Color and Sound. The event will take place on Saturday, November 14 at 18:00 at the Małopolska Cultural Centre SOKÓŁ. The music of impressionism is a world of moods, colors and fleeting impressions. It does not tell the story outright — rather it paints images with sound, allowing the listener to pause for a moment and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the moment. It was this unusual closeness of music and painting that became the inspiration for the creation of the project “Impressionism in Motion: Color and Sound”.
About the event
During the concert, the music meets the light. The colors on the curtain behind the piano and on the special holographic curtain create a visual complement to the sound, changing with its mood and character. Impressionism allows you to look at music as a picture — full of subtle colors, light and shadows. In this project, what we hear, we can also see.
The program includes works for solo piano, for four hands, and for piano and singing. The project was implemented in 2025 as part of the KPO Scholarship for Culture. A CD has also been created from this unique project, which will be available for purchase after the concert.
