Inauguration of the season of the cycle “Muzyka u Biedermann” — Vivo Trio will play

On October 8, we invite you to the Alfred Biedermann Palace for the inauguration of the next season of the concert series “Music at Biedermann”. Admission to the concert is free, prior registration is required.

Vivo Trio was formed in 1997 and has been in the current line-up for eight years, when pianist Hanna Holeksa joined the band. The musicians are associated with the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź. They perform as soloists and chamber musicians in Poland and abroad. They also have record, radio and television recordings. The repertoire of the ensemble includes the most important works of chamber music — from classicism to contemporary compositions.

The program of the evening will bring together three different musical worlds. The audience will hear full of colors, contrasts and rhythmic energy “Piano Trio” by Maurice Ravel and “Piano Trio No. 2” by Aleksander Tansman — composer born in Łódź, whose work combines Polish roots with influences of French musical culture.

The programme will be rounded off by Karol Szymanowski's “Myths” op. 30, edited by Olga Hans. Inspired by stories from Greek mythology, the cycle is one of the composer's most original works. Impressive colors, expressive sound images and unusual sound of instruments create a musical story about the world of Aretuza, Narcissus, Dryads and Pan.

The series “Music at Biedermann” is realized by the University of Lodz in cooperation with the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź.
