Infamous Anne

When Anne (Claire Skinner) hits a stranger with her car, he crashes straight into her carefully guarded world. What follows is funnier, messier, and more tender than either of them was ready for. As Billy faces the fallout, Anne is forced to confront painful memories, while grappling with a new future… and perhaps even a new identity.

Infamous Anne is a sharp, warm, witty and unexpectedly moving portrait of one woman’s small, safe life gloriously blown open.

One of Britain’s most acclaimed playwrights, Penelope Skinner (The Village Bike, Linda, Angry Alan) returns with a brand-new play, directed by Charlotte Gwinner (The Distance). Claire Skinner, adored by millions for her BAFTA-nominated performance as Sue in Outnumbered and celebrated stage work, which won her the Critics’ Circle Award for Best Actress, makes her Orange Tree debut as Anne, with further casting to be announced.
