This is the story of the romance between Kamil, a 32-year-old trainer, dreaming of a career as a hip-hop musician, and Iwona, experiencing a marital crisis, a representative of the metropolitan middle class. It is an excuse to reflect on the poetic and vulgar language of the characters created by Masłowska, immersed in pop culture, preventing them from establishing authentic relationships.

The different languages of the first and secondary characters together create a fascinating, musical phonosphere — the aura of a big city. We are interested in the perspective created in “Other People”, which can be opened with the following questions: are we the ones who speak the language, or has the language taken over us? Is there a sphere of non-verbal agreement and can it be realized and reflected in any way? What is creativity in the field of language?
