Inside Gaza

Since October 7, 2023, the Gaza Strip has remained inaccessible to the international press, with independent access to the territory effectively impossible. Among the few professional witnesses able to document the conflict from within were Agence France-Presse’s staff reporters. Mai Yaghi, Adel Zaanun, Mohammed Abed, Mahmud Hams and Yahya Hassuna have covered numerous wars on behalf of AFP.

As bombs fell around them, they continued to report, photograph, and film, bearing witness while confronting the same dangers, deprivation, and uncertainty as the people whose stories they were telling. .
