“Instrumentarium” is the first theatrical installment of a series inspired by the dramaturgy of Bogusław Schaeffer (1929—2019), who was a composer, musicologist and playwright and graphic author, creator of the concept of instrumental theater.
The actor becomes an “instrument” and as a carrier of dramatic content, a body and a voice composing sound, movement and time in the likeness of a musical score, he takes up issues in the field of creativity, the relationship with art and its function in human life.
“Instrumentarium” is an extension of the “Schaefferian formula” towards a contemporary, interdisciplinary stage and digital form.
The “Instrumentarium” project is implemented thanks to the funds received as part of the artistic scholarship of the City of Łódź, as part of a competition organized by the Faculty of Culture.
