Somewhere up there

Since Yuna lost her mother, she hates school. She doesn't want any more friends either. Because everyone is suddenly so different from her. Her father is also annoying and acts as if he is always in a good mood. Only with her imaginary friend Jerome is everything the same as before. In her secret conversations, she can forget everything. One day on the schoolyard, Max unexpectedly enters her life and simply doesn't go away anymore. And he's asking questions. About Yuna's home, her mother's death, and Jerome. But Max also has his problems: especially with his two older brothers and his parents, who are constantly fighting with each other.

Gradually, the two children discover what they have in common and draw courage from their friendship. Max tries to assert himself against his brothers, and Yuna faces their grief.
