About the event

Jeff Buckley was named in 1993 by Columbia Records to be the next big name on the list of “heritage” artists a la Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. One of them was expected to publish many future works. But he died suddenly under mysterious circumstances in the Mississippi River in 1997. His big voice, spanning four octaves (like his musician father Tim Buckley's), and difficult-to-headline songs, have inspired a myriad of artists. And he himself was inspired by such diverse names as Led Zeppelin, Edith Piaf, Nina Simone and Nusrat Fateh Ali Kahn. But who was he, this Buckley, who managed to release only one album, 'Grace' (1994) — an album considered one of the most important of the 90s? You can learn more about that in 'It's Never Over, Jeff Buckley', a classic rock doc featuring footage from Buckley's archives and interviews with ex-partners, his mother Mary Guibert and fellow musicians who stood near the luminous talent.
