IV International Insect Exchange Day and Entomological Fair

Exotic beetles, spiders, colorful butterflies, willows, mantis, captivating “living” leaves - these insects stole the hearts of those who visited the exhibition halls during previous editions of the International Insect Exchange Days and Entomological Fairs. The event is organized twice a year by the Upper Silesian Museum in Bytom from 2025. Another opportunity to stand “eye to eye” with a live praying mantis will come on October 31 this year.

Preparations are underway for a unique event, which will be the 4th International Day of Insect Exchange and the Entomological Fair at the Upper Silesian Museum in Bytom. After the success of the fair in 2025 and February 2026, we once again invite everyone - both enthusiasts of the insect world and curious newcomers. Visiting the museum on Saturday, October 31 will be a unique opportunity to marvel at the diversity of insects from around the world — from colorful butterflies to exotic beetles and large spiders to fascinating living insects!

It is also an opportunity to buy unique exhibits and materials:

— collectible insects,

— entomological equipment (preparation articles and other tools),

Entomological literature (books, guides and atlases).

The fair is also a real treat for the little ones. Walking through the exhibition halls you will be able to see live insects — see what they look like up close, learn about their habits and fascinating behaviors. The event offers the opportunity to expand knowledge, exchange experiences with experts and meet entomology enthusiasts from Poland and abroad.
