“Iwona”

Club Wilkowije MCC invites you to a performance as part of the Youth Thursday with Theatre series.

Club Wilkowije MCC invites you to a performance entitled “Iwona” based on Witold Gombrowicz's drama “Iwona, Princess of Burgundy” performed by the PI YINGA Theater Group from the Kossak Artists Youth House No. 1 in Tychy.

The action takes place in a dilapidated and glittering royal court. Young Prince Philip, out of sheer defiance, decides to get engaged to Iwona — a girl who is completely ordinary, ugly, apathetic and almost completely silent. The presence of Iwona at court acts as a catalyst, reminding the heroes of all their past sins and character imperfections. So what to do with Ivana?
