Jacaszek: “Pentral" - a multi-channel concert.

We warmly invite you to a unique concert of the composer of electroacoustic music, sound artist, as well as the curator of the original Octophon sound gallery - Michał Jacaszek.

Jacaszek's recent performances deviate from the traditional stereo system, with two speakers on stage. The artist extends this formula by playing multi-channel concerts, thus giving his music the value of space. By surrounding the listeners with more speakers, Jacaszek suggestively introduces the audience to the environment of nature or specific interiors.

In Radom we will hear a sound material entitled “Pentral" (Latin interior, spirit, temple) which will take us to the spacious interior of the Gothic basilicas in Gdańsk, where the artist recorded fragments of organ phrases, vocal songs and other, often random sounds, focusing on the reverberation effect.

On the basis of this material Jacaszek created sound forms that are not only music, but also a kind of listening device.

In Radom we will have the opportunity to take a sound walk to the medieval temples of Gdańsk, through an immersive experience of their space.
