About the event

A high-energy tribute to Jaco Pastorius's electrifying legacy, marking what would have been his 75th birthday, with an evening filled with boundary-seeking jazz fusion. Expect explosive interpretations of Jaco-era material, deep grooves and sprawling improvisations that honor his fearless approach to time, tone and melody. The feat. Mike Stern (Guitar/US), Felix Pastorius (Bass/US), Jacob Hatholt (Drums/GB) and Gabor Bolla (Sax/HU) + special guest TBA.

Mike Stern -- a former member of Jaco's Word of Mouth band -- brings his distinctive, fiery guitar lines and rock-inspired jazz phrasing that recall the fusion era Jaco helped define. Jaco's son, Felix Pastorius, channels his father's lyrical language and rhythmic daring, while infusing his own modern voice on the bass, making this celebration quite special and personal. With Danish drummer Jacob Hatholt as drummer in the band and Hungarian saxophonist Gabor Bolla adding fiery, Coltrane-tinged lines, the ensemble transforms Jaco's revolutionary spirit into a vibrant, pulsating concert experience for full blowout.

Mike Stern (Guitar, US)
One of the most influential jazz fusion guitarists of his generation. Rooted in New York's vibrant jazz scene, he is known for his distinctive melting pot of bebop phrasing, blues color and rock intensity. Over a decade-long career, he has collaborated with icons such as Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius, the Brecker Brothers and Herbie Hancock, thus leaving a distinctive imprint on the modern jazz guitar.

Gábor Bolla (Saxophone, HU)
Born in Budapest, Hungary, Gábor Bolla is one of the most distinctive new voices on the tenor saxophone. With a style that fuses both traditional and progressive influences, he has previously shared stage with jazz choristers such as Randy Brecker, Gary Peacock, Mike Stern and Mino Cinelu.

Felix Pastorius (Bass, US)
Following in the footsteps of his late father, Jaco Pastorius, Felix has forged his own artistic identity as a virtuoso on the six-string bass and continues to challenge and expand the boundaries of modern jazz on the bass.

Jacob Hatholt (Drums, GB)
Known for his versatility and virtuosity, dynamic drummer Jacob Hatholt brings energy and precision to every performance, delivering a strong, musical foundation -- no matter what context he's included in.
