At the beginning there was a book in which Mateusz Pakuła included a written ex-post, but in the form of a diary, a chronicle of his father's death. A poignant thing with sincerity, an intimate confession of love, grief and rage that it was impossible to shorten the suffering of a dying man.
However, one of the most interesting Polish playwrights and most original directors decided not to close this story and put it to the test of the stage. He divided the narrative into five fantastic actors, and these gave it a new, unexpected dimension to many. In the account, the author of which does not spare us even the most drastic details, has crept into a laugh lined with despair. It acts as a safety valve to make this theatrical and life experience easier to endure.
To the limit, the uncompromising spectacle is a cry for the right to euthanasia, a bluff against the enslaved Polish society and the ecclesiastical hierarchy that does not hide in the best mood. The performance took part in almost all major Polish theatre festivals, where it is always perceived as something more than a normal performance. Hence the endless long after the end of the conversation between the artists and the viewers, the real meeting of them.
In addition, many awards, from the Grand Prix of Divine Comedy 2023 and the Competition for the Exhibition of Polish Contemporary Art and a team award for all performers at the Festival of Acting Arts in Kalisz.
