Does the forest have its smell? And if so, what does it smell like: trees, earth, rain, or maybe something else? Does every forest smell the same?
During the class, we will embark on a sensory journey into the world of nature, focusing on one of the most magical senses — smell. Children will learn about the smells of the forest through natural materials: leaves, bark, needles and spices inspired by the forest environment. We will also create our own “forest scents” — small compositions that children can take home with them. We will also talk about ecology and how important it is to take care of forests so that they can remain clean, healthy and full of natural aromas.
During the course of the Between Trees series, we embark on a journey into the world of plants — we will learn their secrets, learn to recognize them and find out how we can help nature on a daily basis. We sow, plant, experiment and ask questions, because in nature every answer leads to another discovery. It is not only fun, it is also the first steps in building a relationship with nature and responsibility for the environment. We know that caring for the planet starts at home, so we create a space to explore together, talk and be close to nature together.
