Stucco is a permanent element of the furnishing of apartments in historic tenement houses. It is a good practice to make reproduction patterns in case the originals are destroyed.
Does this happen often and what are the backdrops of such realizations?
These questions will be answered by craftsmen who supply stucco for renovated Prague tenement houses and contemporary interiors. During the workshop we will learn how decorative stucco elements are made — from the preparation of the mold to the execution of the casting. We will see the drawn method, thanks to which profiled architectural elements such as rosettes, moldings or facets are created.
This is an opportunity to take a close look at traditional stucco techniques and discover how much precision, knowledge and craftsmanship lies in the decorative details of the interiors.
Due to the nature of the workshops, please wear clothes that may get dirty.
