A verbal-musical session in which the creators look at the events and ideas that have shaped the fabric of our civilization for millennia, to ask the question: why do we as humanity make the same mistakes over and over again? The compromised ideas of democracy, religion, revolution, wars still erupting and pseudo-scientific phantasmagoria, dividing people into better and worse, testify to the painful relevance of this question. The swelling human fears, traumas and frustrations in the play are, however, “disarmed” in a crooked mirror of wit, humor and grotesque.
She and He — suspended beyond time and space, whose aesthetics evoke the world of circus, cabaret, revue, market panopticum — take us on a journey for several centuries. On this journey, however, they are looking for love and partnership. Important for conveying feelings and emotions are live songs performed in the performance, mostly popular music hits, sung in English, Italian and Spanish.
