Jakob Heymann

With a refreshing mix of humor, musicality and satirical sharpness, the charismatic singer-songwriter, cabaret artist and entertainer proves once again that good music not only touches the soul, but can do much more.

In his third solo program “Music for Optimists,” Jakob Heymann takes the audience on a humorous journey through the ups and downs of life. His intelligent lyrics and enthralling melodies capture the spirit of the times and make the audience smile and think.

In a world that is sometimes so absurd that laughing gets stuck in your throat, the 38-year-old manages to give and take weight from the dark clouds of time with his songs.

“You have to face the chaos of life with a wink,” he says, and that is exactly what Heymann masterfully implements in his new program.

He shows himself to be a gifted songwriter and charming entertainer who captivates the audience with his natural stage presence.

You can expect a varied, self-deprecating evening full of surprises and songs where no eye stays dry and no topic is too sensitive.

Heymann's songs are like bitter-sweet sweets that take viewers into a world in which the glass is always half full — even when it threatens to tip over. According to the artist, they are “songs as the ultimate weapon against life's adversities.”

Jakob Heymann's latest album “Music for Optimists” was released in 2024. The new single “Standby” followed in October 2025, in which Heymann claims at the beginning: “I have nothing more to say, I've already told everything.” Of course, this is only his own laconic truth. At his concert at the ufaFabrik, he will casually prove that the opposite is true.
