The world loves superheroes, and we, Poles apart from the imported ones — Batman, Superman, Spiderman, have our own, beloved ones: Captain Kloss, Pancerny, but above all Janosik. A folk hero, who really exists, but whose legend has little to do with real history. In the passes, he personified superhuman strength, cunning, courage and charisma. It was a symbol of the highlander spirit of freedom and independence. The people loved him because he was “his own” — he fought for the community, not for himself. Steadfast, yet ordinary, with many human flaws and imperfections. And that's why we love him so much. Idealized by the people as the personification of dreams of justice and freedom. This is the myth of the folk hero that the creators of the play - director Rafał Szumski and the author of the script, excellent reporter and writer - Ziemowit Szczerek - will try to redefine in the vapors of effective comedy and the setting of spectacular, sung and dynamic performances.
