The show deals with the ideal of man, tells both about the well-known alpha male and about the enigmatic modern sigma male. The title “JAPI” refers to the social yuppie category created in the 1980s in the USA, whose representatives were a model for many young careerists around the world, as well as to its inept Polish counterpart, the so-called japiszons. The protagonists of the play are five men aimed at achieving success and social prestige, enslaved by an obsession with lifestyle, a love of high material status and luxury, and the need to constantly create a perfect version of themselves.

“JAPI” is another performance of Carrodunum Dance Company, a dance company operating under the wings of the New Proxima Theater. It is an intense, moving, musical and visual performance presenting at the same time the above-average and professional craftsmanship of dance artists.
