JarmaRock Fest

JarmaRock FEST is the most important musical and theatrical event of Ukrainian culture, organized continuously since 1977 in Gdansk by the Union of Ukrainians in Poland.

This festival has been creating a unique atmosphere for years where tradition meets modernity and culture becomes a bridge connecting people. At the same time, it supports the national identity of the Ukrainian minority in Poland, integrates communities and strengthens Polish-Ukrainian relations based on mutual respect and openness.

JarmaRock FEST is a meeting place for Ukrainians born in Poland, migrants and refugees from Ukraine and all lovers of Ukrainian culture from Poland and abroad. This event is more than a music festival — it is a space for dialogue, integration and cultural exchange, created by people who believe that culture has the power to build bridges and remind us of who we are.

The word “jarmarock” (in Ukrainian jarmarok) refers to the variety of presented forms of creativity of artists, but the dominant element of the festival event remains rock music in the most diverse sounds, hence the name of the event JarmaRock FEST.

The two-day festival with a rich program for years combines concerts of famous artists from Ukraine and Poland with theatrical events, poetry and presentations of visual arts, creating a space where rock, folk, ethno, ska, reggae, jazz, funk and pop sound, and the variety of forms and sounds makes everyone find their own rhythm and their own history here.

On 20-21 November 2026, the 50th jubilee edition of the festival will take place in Gdańsk, which will become a symbolic culmination of fifty years of history, tradition, artistic heritage and the contribution of many generations of creators of this legendary event.
