Przejście Garncarskie 2, Wrocław

Poetic Ride is a series of meetings organised by the Polish Theatre in Wrocław, focusing on the word and its interpretation. The poems, read by professional actors of the Polish Theater in Wrocław and invited guests, are accompanied by live music. Texts representing different styles, conventions, cultures and eras are presented. They can thus attract a diverse audience, both those who have long been interested in the lyric and its characteristic condensation of thoughts and meanings, as well as young people who seek in the poetic word the expression of their rebellion and search for identity.

The meetings in Wrocław maintain the convention of meetings developed in the Krakow Poetry Salon, conducted since 2002 by Anna Dymnia. Teresa Sawicka and Jolanta Zalewska, actresses of the Polish Theatre in Wrocław, decided to instill this idea on the Oder River.

Time with poetry is an opportunity to pause for a moment in the reality that overwhelms us at its pace. And although nowadays we seem tired of the flood of words that constantly attack us with their message from all sides, we still need and look for formulas that allow us to escape from the cliché, to help us define ourselves.

Since 2026, the project has been implemented in cooperation with the Wrocław House of Literature.
