Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic” Wanderlust “with Michael Wollny & Friends
tickets
Invited by the Berliner Philharmoniker
info
This program is brimming with the desire to travel musically — between styles, soundscapes and line-ups. The focus is on pianist Michael Wollny, a regular guest at Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic, who reviews four of his projects: In his solo Winterreise, he transforms Schubert's famous song cycle into dark romantic jazz improvisations. Fusions of Baroque music and various jazz styles are created in duos with harpsichordist Tamar Halperin and Nils Landgren. And with Out of Land — together with Andreas Schärer, Émile Parisien and Vincent Peirani — they embark on a musical adventure: lyrical, energetic, experimental.
