Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic “Remember Esbjörn Svensson”
tickets
Invited by the Berliner Philharmoniker
info
When Esbjörn Svensson died in a diving accident in June 2008, the jazz world lost one of its most innovative artists. The 44-year-old Swedish jazz pianist was at the height of his fame back then. With curiosity, experimentation and creativity, he and his trio had become one of the most important voices in European jazz — with a sound that combined jazz, classical, rock, pop and electronic elements to create a unique sound. His two companions, drummer Magnus Öström and double bass player Dan Berglund, together with leading jazz musicians from Sweden and Finland, remember the great jazz player.
