Renowned jazz singer, composer and songwriter Krystyna Stańko returns with her latest concert program “Return to Revisited”, a musical tribute to one of the greatest jazz creators of the 20th century — Chick Corea. The show was created in collaboration with her band and was recorded in June 2025, with the album's release scheduled for the fall.

“Return to Revisited” is a collection of original interpretations of legendary compositions by Chick Corea, such as “Crystal Silence”, “You're Everything”, “Sometime Ago”, “500 Miles High” and the iconic “Spain” — all in new, fresh arrangements, full of musical breath, energy and jazz sensibility.

The fascination with the work of Chick Corea accompanies Krystyna Stańko from an early age — the key moment for her was Corea's album recorded with Brazilian singer Flora Purim, which strongly influenced her musical identity. Fascinated by melody, rhythmic diversity and richness of harmony, Stańko chose the path of jazz education and artistic development, which can be heard today in the mature and thoughtful sound of her band.

The project “Return to Revisited” is energy, and at the same time subtlety, improvisation and sonic momentum. Sparkling guitars, sensual vocals, a wealth of counterpoints and spatial production create an unforgettable concert atmosphere.

During the concert you will also be able to hear selected songs from the album “Eurodyka”, dedicated to Europe. This album is a unique meeting of cultures and artists — along with the permanent line-up appeared guests Laura Marti from Ukraine, Arve Henriksen from Norway, João de Sousa from Portugal and Daniel Mester from Hungary.

The composition of the team:

Krystyna Stańko — vocals

Dominik Bukowski — vibraphone (leading vibraphonist in Poland, longtime leader of the Jazz Top “Jazz Forum” ranking)

Marcin Wądołowski — guitar (versatile jazz and classical guitarist)

Szymon Łukowski — saxophones, clarinet, flute (musician known from both the jazz and entertainment scene)

Paul Rutschka — bass guitar, production (acclaimed bassist, graduate of the Konservatorium van Amsterdam, producer of more than 150 jazz albums)

Mikołaj Stańko — drums (once the youngest endorser of Zildjian, today playing in several significant young bands)

Krystyna Stańko — an outstanding Polish singer with her sextet (vibraphonist Dominik Bukowski, saxophonist and flutist Szymon Łukowski, guitarist Marcin Wądołowski, bassist Paul Rutschka and drummer Mikołaj Stańko) proposed the author's “Return To Revisited” beautifully showing not only the serene the depth of the composition of Chick Corea, but also brilliantly weaving his own perception of this Latin-jazz fiesta into an explosion of sounds and moods. How difficult it is to find your own and other references to compositions listened to for decades, in order to extract even more emotions from popular standards, was shown by Krystyna Stańko, who, without strengthening herself with Flora Purim's vocal motivation and avoiding the banality of the “cover”, made a special interpretation. Extremely beautiful, personal and very, very submissive to the charm of Corei/Purim songs.
