Piotr Schmidt — leading trumpeter of Polish jazz, composer, producer and publisher. Graduate and PhD at the Academy of Music in Katowice, assistant professor at the PANS Jazz Faculty in Nysa. Winner of numerous awards, including the Grand Prix at the Getxo Jazz Festival 2010 along with the award for the best soloist of the festival. He has collaborated with icons of Polish and world jazz, including such artists as: Aaron Parks, Mino Cinelu, Walter Smith III, Leszek Możdżer, Adam Bałdych, Krzysztof Herdzin, Michał Urbaniak, Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski and others... Leader of bands, creator of musical projects. He has 19 original albums, including “Tribute to Tomasz Stańko” and “Komeda Unknown 1967”. For years he has been at the forefront of Jazz Top, Jazz Forum magazine — Trumpeter of the Year 2023 and 2025. His original album “Hearsay” has been recognized 4 times as “Best Jazz Album of 2023!” The album “Ether” from 2025 was twice recognized as the “Best Jazz Album of 2025", including by the Jazz Forum.
