JazzClub/John Medeski solo/Alone with piano

To put it bluntly: Medeski is too good to play exclusively for others. The point is that the biggest ones — with John Zorn at the helm — mostly just want him. Sure, the pianist is co-responsible for the success and all 23 albums of the Medeski trio, Martin & Wood, a band that invented a new formula for combining jazz, groove and avant-garde. And this is largely thanks to Medeski, one of the greatest modern masters of Hammonds, Wurlitzers, clavinets and other keyboard instruments. But what happens when we simplify the situation and put in front of such an outstanding improviser and versatile artist just... a good piano? In his music library, the pianist has literally everything at hand - crazy experiments, rocking grooves and a jazzy love for Oscar Peterson and Thelonious Monk. Therefore, he reserves: musically anything can happen!
