Jazz Club/Marcin Wasilewski Trio feat. Tomasz Dąbrowski/Stańko's Legacy in Motion

Marcin Wasilewski's trio often met with outstanding musicians. They recorded with Joakim Milder, the great Joe Lovano or — still as Simple Acoustic Trio — with Henryk Miśkiewicz. And of course with Tomasz Stańka, who with the trio created one of his most important lineups. On the other hand, Stańko's acquaintance and cooperation with Tomasz Dąbrowski, one of the most important Polish voices of the new trumpet, was documented at The Copenhagen Session, and Dąbrowski carries the torch of Stańko's approach to art in the band The Individual Beings, in which he played on the trumpet belonging to the master. The joint venture of the trio and the trumpeter was the logical conclusion of these experiences. They are distinguished by their generational experience and internship alongside Stańko. It combines an understanding of the legendary artist's music and his message, including the most important one — not to look to the past and recreate, but to create and move forward.
