Rynek 5, Tarnów

The Tarnów public has had a weakness for jazz for years, and concerts of this genre occupy an important place in the history of the Tarnów Cultural Center. For more than three decades, we have been hosting leading Polish and world jazzmen, and alongside recognized masters we present artists of the younger generation. A special place on this jazz map is occupied by the TCK Cellars — an intimate space where a small distance between the stage and the audience allows you to listen to music really up close. It is here that the 3rd edition of Jazz Autumn at TCK will take place.

About the event

Jazz Autumn for the third time at TCK. Three concerts in Piwnice

This year's series consists of three concert evenings. Piotr Wyleł Trio, Bernard Maseli with the project “The Nomads” and Piotr Pociask Quartet will perform in the TCK Cellars. Jazz Autumn will also have a jubilee accent — Bernard Maseli celebrates 40 years of artistic work and Piotr Pociask celebrates 35 years.

Inauguration of the series: Piotr Wyleł Trio — 9 October

Jazz Autumn will be opened by the Piotr Wyleł Trio — a meeting of three outstanding musicians and classical jazz instrumentation: piano, double bass and drums.

Piotr Wyleł has been one of the leading Polish jazz pianists for years. The pianist, composer and improviser has 14 original albums and several dozen recordings with other artists. His music is distinguished by melodiousness, Slavic lyricism and characteristic harmonic language. In 2025 he received three Fryderyk nominations — as Artist of the Year and Composer of the Year and for the album “I Love Music”.

The trio occupies a special place in his work and has accompanied him since the beginning of his musical journey. Wyleżł finds in this formula a space for his own compositions, pianistic expression and improvisation. Already the debut album “Yearning”, recorded in 2001, attracted the attention of critics. The band later toured in Poland and abroad, including during the London Jazz Festival. After this performance, the British magazine “Blues & Soul” described Wyleżel as one of the most extraordinary talents in European piano music.

In the Piwnice TCK, Wyleżol will be accompanied by Sławomir Kurkiewicz and Łukasz Żyta — musicians who have been present on the most important jazz scenes for years.

Sławomir Kurkiewicz — double bass player Marcin Wasilewski Trio and longtime collaborator of Tomasz Stańko. He has been with ECM Records since 2001. He has recorded and toured with Manu Katché, Jan Garbark, Charles Lloyd, John Surman, Dayna Stephens, Joey Baron and Marilyn Mazur.

Łukasz Żyta — one of the most appreciated Polish jazz drummers, who has participated in the recording of more than 50 albums. He has collaborated with Jan Ptaszyn Wróblewski, Janusz Muniak, Aga Zaryan, Bennie Maupin, Dayna Stephens and Lee Konitz, among others. Ten albums with his participation were honored with Fryderyk or his Czech counterpart.
