Polish for two voices

The Polish Language for Two Voices is a recurring event, which includes meetings held once a month (from October to March), to which educators known as “Two from Words” invite: Teacher of the Year 2021 Dariusz Martynowicz, polonist, @profesor_daro, and Gloomy Polonist — Wojciech Rzehak, screenwriter, Head of Education Department at the J. Słowacki Theatre. In the 2026/27 school year we are already launching the fourth series of respites!

The event is addressed primarily to students preparing for the Polish language baccalaureate exam in May 2027, but not only. During 2.5-hour meetings on the MOS Underground stage, we will discuss the most important dramatic pieces and their contexts, thus helping to prepare students for graduation.

We see you for the first time on October 17, 2026 at 10:00. Then we will talk about ancient Greece: about the first myths about the origins of drama, about the tragedy of antiquity. The focal point of the meeting will be “Antigone” by Sophocles, which we will discuss in the context of the Theban myth of the Labdacids.

Since both teachers are long-term high school examiners, we will also see what questions related to antiquity and the Middle Ages will appear in the oral exam. We will help you prepare for this exam.
