Joan as Policewoman

20 Years of Real Life

On this very special anniversary tour, Joan performs the entire Real Life album in its entirety, flanked by her sublime band. Audiences can additionally look forward to carefully selected highlights from her extensive back catalogue, fan favorites, rare tracks, reinterpreted covers and, of course, a few surprises along the way.

For Joan, music is not just a work, but a lifeline. She has often stressed the importance of Real Life, which for her became the album that opened the door to a lifetime as a solo artist:

“Music has saved my life. I am a devotee. It's not something I can even choose or not choose, it's just what it is. The album Real Life holds the key to my whole life. At the time I felt compelled to get it all into one record because I couldn't imagine a world where I'd make another. Now twenty years later (and twelve albums into my career) the dream continues to unfold... I still live to play music. The shared experience of a concert is a constant reminder of our common humanity. Real Life was the spark that lit my calling as a solo artist and I'm truly excited to revisit all the songs that mean so much to me and lovers of Real Life.”

The concert will be a celebration of an album that has meant so much to Joan herself and to her dedicated audiences around the world. 20 Years of Real Life is a unique opportunity to experience Joan As Police Woman up close, intense, present and musically uncompromising.
