JOE & THE SHITBOYS

Post-Punk, Punk

The Faroe Islands' most fan-spirited queer, vegan punks are coming and selling musical slaps to conservative bastards, boring meat eaters and mood killers at Floppen on December 3rd!

The queer, vegan shitpunks, Joe & The Shitboys, were formed with the intention of confronting bad attitudes in the conservative Faroe Islands, where the rock scene is filled with spineless homophobes and meat-eating misogynists -- and they continue to aim their sights on general mood killers everywhere.

The live shows are brimming with energy, with a flurry of songs often lasting under one minute, such as “Save The Planet You Dumb Shit,” “Life Is Great You Suck” and “If You Believe in Eating Meat Start With Your Dog,” interrupted by the flamboyant lead singer, who mercilessly roasts the audience. The band (Joe, Ziggy Shit, Johnny Shit and Ollie Shit) have played every kind of place imaginable Say: rooftops, public toilets, opening ceremonies for North Atlantic undersea tunnels, museums and skate parks, and they have also performed at numerous major festivals around Europe and North America.

So far, the band has released three albums: 'The Reson For Hardcore Vibes', 'The Reson For Hardcore Vibes Again' and 'The Reson For Hardcore Vibes III' — all received with high critical acclaim despite their modest and unconventional (aka punk) total playing time of 10 minutes.

Among their many vocal fans, Iggy Pop recently called Joe & the Shitboys the most exciting band in the world right now — and he's not just saying it. After using the band's new single “MR. NOBODY” as walkout music for several shows, he has now invited them on his 2025 UK tour, including a huge concert in London's iconic Alexandra Palace. As a long-standing advocate for the band, Iggy has played their music extensively in his programme on BBC Radio 6 Music, but his support goes even further. In his cover interview with NME, he revealed that he played their music for Blink-182's Travis Barker before adding drums to the album track 'Neo Punk', and has even shared his enthusiasm for the band with Rick Rubin himself on the podcast Broken Record.

For those still looking for more reasons for hardcore vibes, promising more new music, Joe & The Shitboys deliver a boisterous live show on December 3.
