J. Tronix

J.Tronix, the winners of the Blue Note Poznań Competition 2025, will perform on our stage as part of the New Masters series, presenting the most interesting names of the young Polish jazz scene.

The band was born from simple meetings of three musicians who began to play jazz standards together — without plan or pressure, out of a pure need for improvisation.

The trio consists of Klaudia Wachtarczyk (bass, synth bass), Aleksander Gonsior (drums, SPD-SX) and Szymon Szczot (piano, keyboards, production). The musicians have a variety of stage experiences and move between jazz, pop, gospel, soul and electronics on a daily basis. This stylistic diversity has become the foundation of J.Tronix's sound.

The first author's compositions quickly began to replace jazz standards. The band then recorded the singles “In a Nervous Mood”, “iMazur” and “Glide”, which opened the way for him to the most important jazz competitions in Poland. J.Tronix was in the finals of the Wojtek Siwek Jazz Individuality at Jazz nad Odra and the Symphonies competition, and then became the winners of the Blue Note Poznań Competition. They also received a special award in the form of a concert at the Jazz Around festival.

The band's debut album “Jazztronika”, released in November 2025, is a summary of the journey from jam sessions to a fully formed, authorial identity. Seven compositions combine jazz improvisation with electronic aesthetics and contemporary groove.

NEW MASTERS is a Blue Note concert series, in which we give the stage to talented and young artists and musicians. The performers invited by us will present how “young” jazz sounds today and what plays in the souls of future masters. Concerts bearing this sign, each time a synthesis of a new look at music and masterful skills.

The events of this series are free for students of music academies and students of music schools in Poznań.

The project is co-financed from the funds of the Wielkopolskie Voivodship Local Government.
