Musician, vocalist, cultural animator and regionalist, associated with folk music and cultural life of our region for years. It will be a special meeting full of music, memories and people who have been united by a common passion for years. Walenty Mazur is a character perfectly known to lovers of folk music. He is a co-founder of the band “Blachowianie”, and over the years he has collaborated with numerous bands from the Częstochowa region. As an instrumentalist and vocalist, he performed with the bands “Blachowianki”, “Lisowianki”, “Mstowianki”, “Złota Jesień” from Herbów, among others, and the choir “Akord” — Seniors from Olsztyn. His musical activity was repeatedly appreciated at competitions and folklore reviews. He has, among others, first place in the accordion competition “Dożynkowe Muzyków” in Lubojno in 2019, as well as awards won as a soloist instrumentalist and violinist during regional and national folklore events. For his work in the local culture, he was also awarded the Platinum Swan for special merits — as the founder of the “Blachowianie” Band. Life written in notes The title of the benefit is not accidental. The music of Valente Mazur is not only performances and subsequent scenes. It is above all people, meetings, tradition and the memory of the places from which we grow. These are the melodies that have accompanied subsequent generations at celebrations, meetings and joint celebrations. Therefore, during the jubilee evening, we want not only to listen to music, but also to dwell for a moment on the history of the man who created and passed on this music over the years. It will be a time of memories, musical meetings and thanks for the years of being present in the cultural life of our community. We cordially invite everyone who is close to folk music, local tradition and stories of people who make up the culture of our region. We also invite those who had the opportunity to meet Valente Mazur on his musical journey and would like to celebrate this special jubilee together with us.
