The Christmas show with the Danish Entertainment Orchestra

The Danish Entertainment Orchestra has a long and proud tradition of traveling around the country and marking Christmas through music. In recent years it has been with Burhan G, while this year it will be with four new, strong soloists on the stages around the country's concert halls.

“Together with Pernille Rosendahl, Nicklas Sahl, Stine Bramsen and NOAH, we will surely embrace some of the great emotions that Christmas awakens in us. We can because they each bring their own timbre, have different memories and their own emotional look at Christmas, which will be amazing to redeem with them. We look forward to spreading light and gathering Danes in the dark of December,” says John Frandsen, Director of the Danish Entertainment Orchestra.

And the excitement over the exciting musical collaboration has been reciprocated by the four singers, who are looking forward to singing Christmas in with the entire Danish Entertainment Orchestra behind them.

“Christmas is something we gather around. Especially Christmas songs. Whether it's the hymns we sing about the tree in the living room, 'All I Want For Christmas' on the radio or all the cosy Christmas calendar songs on the television, there is something special about the feeling that music brings in December and that you get hit by every single year,” Stine Bramsen begins and continues: “Everything is possible together with the Danish Entertainment Orchestra. And I definitely think that what each of us can create with them will be both enchanting, fun and nostalgic.”

Nostalgia also has a special hold in Nicklas Sahl as Christmas approaches.

“When I was a kid, my guitar teacher always played Hans Dal's' Icebergs' from the Nissebanden in Greenland for the Christmas holidays. To me, it's one of the most beautiful pieces of music that's been composed. That is why, with the permission of Hans Dal, I wrote a text for it a few years ago — a text about those who shine most strongly in the Christmas season for me: those who are closest to me, who have always been there, and whom I may take for granted in an often busy everyday life. I look forward to sharing this message in the beautiful halls,” says Nicklas Sahl.

Both Troels Gustavsen (NOAH) and Pernille Rosendahl have previously toured with the Danish Entertainment Orchestra - and with great success. Over the past ten years, the orchestra has taken the journey from DR's classical concert halls to the country's largest venues and stages in audience-loving collaborations with some of Denmark's best-known pop and rock artists.

This is the first time that the Danish Entertainment Orchestra has presented the Christmas show with four soloists — four voices each with their own timbre and interpretation of the fairy tale we all take with us from childhood and which unfold over and over again throughout our lives. There is no doubt that the concert series will be an early musical Christmas gift to share with those you care about.
