The fun was supposed to last a couple of weeks. Maybe a few months. A year at most. Not any longer. It has been going on continuously for sixty-eight years. In the history of cabaret, this is a world record. Unfortunately, there is no Piotr Skrzynecki anymore. But the magical place in the basement of the Palace under the Rams at the Main Market Square continues to live and attracts crowds. Is it the merit of legend, genius loci, or the talents of increasingly younger performers? The third generation of spectators is already coming: daughters want to see where their mothers played, grandparents bring grandchildren and tell about the euphoric atmosphere of basement madness.
