Kakkmaddafakka

Kakkmaddafakka was formed in Bergen and since the late 00's has marked itself as one of the most prominent names on the Norwegian indie scene. Based on a mix of indie pop, rock, funk and danceable grooves, the band has created an expression that is their own.

Over the years Kakkmaddafakka has built up an audience well outside Norway and toured intensively in Europe and Latin America. Especially in countries such as Germany, Spain and Mexico, the band has gained a loyal following, and their concerts have made them a recurring name on both festivals and club scenes.

The 2011 album Horse became a turning point for the band. Songs such as “Restless” and “Your Girl” found their way to a wider audience and helped to place Kakkmaddafakka centrally on the international indie scene. Since then, a series of album releases and tours have followed, during which the band has continuously expanded and refined their sound.

In 2026, Kakkmaddafakka will mark the 15th anniversary of Hest, while also releasing their eighth studio album, Untitled. Here, among other things, they draw inspiration from the pop and rock music of the 1980s, without letting go of the melodic and rhythmic expression that has characterized the band from the beginning.

After more than 15 years on the roads, the scene remains Kakkmaddafakka's natural element. Here the close arrangements, the catchy songs and the spontaneous energy that have made the band an audience draw far beyond their home country come together.
