Kalina®

The symbol of sex, the goddess of cabaret, the star of cinema and television returns to the stage of the Rampa Theater in a performance combining modern arrangements of Kalina Jędrusik's hits with a plot in which absurd humor intertwines with the melancholy and sarcasm of an extraordinary actress and a woman who was ahead of her era.

Anna Mierzwa's daring acting and vocal talent reveal the contemporary aspects of the Polish People's Republic icon, which to this day seduces, provokes and fascinates. Has and how has society changed since the times when Kalina shocked and delighted, seeking artistic and personal freedom? Will it also seduce and enchant viewers today?

We invite you to a hit performance that the Poznań audience loved — “Kalina®” in an unusual creation by Anna Mierzwa, already from October on the Chamber Stage of the Rampa Theater.

The premiere of the play took place on October 28, 2016 at the Izabela Cywińska Theatre in Poznań.

The performance was realized as part of the scholarship program of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage “Young Poland”.
